Booked to go to the Lagotel in about 5 weeks time. Just wondering if anyone had been before and what their thoughts are - Good or bad.

We have booked for half board - what is the food like...?

Any good bars to visit near by...?

Any info on my holiday would be great.

We are also staying here in August. Have had some good reviews of the place,but not much on the actual town. Mossies are the biggest problem,so plenty of repellent or marmite!!!! Would be great if you could give us an update when you return.
Have a fab time and hope the sun shines for you.

Yeah...I've also heard that mozzies are a problem... I will give you a full report on the place when i get back towards end of July - I know how much it can mean to people going holiday to get a good report back of their own holiday which gives piece of mind.

I am pretty sure it is a really nice place...I am going with my girlfriend and 10 of her family. They have been every year for the past 6 years, so it can't be bad -surely...!

I went to the Lagotel in April 2004, was out of season so was very quite but we found everything to be really good, not sure if anything has changed but we thought the hotel was nicely situated, a bit further out but easily walkable and that all services in the hotel were great, I am sure you will have a great time.

I'd love to see a recent review of the Lagotel.
I booked it coz I'm with my parents, hubby and 3 kids and it seemed perfect.

BUT having read tripadvisor and heard about the mossies and the noise, I'm now bricking that I'll have picked a doosy

Having been there recently Will, how bad are the noise and mossie factors? We'll be there from 19 August for 2 weeks.

We had a break in into all three of our rooms (not one other room to our knowledge was broken into......the words 'inside job' spring to mind) The safe in our room was jemmied of at the hinges and all valuables stolen. This happened within 3 hours of arriving at hotel !!!
The doors on the rooms are very poor quality you can slide a credit card in and open them.
The on duty staff were useless and the reps would not be my 'first choice' again.

That was odd as whilst we were there the same happenned to many safes in rooms also.

The noise was fine whilt we were there, but do not have your patio door open if you face the lake because of the mozzys. We never were bitten once whilst there but some were badly bitten. Just apply the necessary creams and you should be fine

We are also staying at the lagotel on a half board basis,a real treat as we normally go self catering. Have enjoyed reading all the reviews. We have four kids aged 5-15 so hopefully something for every one to do. We have a family room with a den plus a standard room. I believe there is a play station in the den room is this true.Though hopefully we arnt going to need it.

Hi all.
We are visiting the Lagotel Playa de Muro in June and was wondering is it as great as everyone says?, there are only the two of us staying here AI for a week (sister and family staying Alcudia same time). Price for room was unbelievable which is why we booked, told by first choice its because the hotel is quiet because this year its only being used by first choice (UK) and its not the school holidays when we will be there, but was assured that everything will be on and open, we was wondering what to expect of hotel and of the resort itself. We will have a hire car so will be visiting other places in Majorca, but does the hotel only cater for adults with children? Also reading the hotels website it states that men need to wear trousers for the evening meal is this true?
We cant wait to get there but would like to hear from people who have been there recently, reading the reviews it sounds unbelievable that this hotel is so wonderful.

went to this hotel in may of last year , last year the hotel was half board , couldnt really fault anything here , with regards the trousers , it would be more accurate to say they dont like you to wear shorts , jeans , tracksuit bottoms etc are fine.Everything will be open in june and will be fairly busy by then
