theres no lakes i'm afraid but its certainly not dry and barren - there are "loads" of little villages dotted around the island - google map of the towns & villages

both the north and the south of the island have some gorgeous countryside

the thing to do is get a road map of the island and just have a wander - if you get lost just drive in one direction for 10 mins and you'll probably end up at the sea :)

Thank you.
We are staying in Santa Eulalia , we are looking forward to seeing a new place.
We will get a map and just drive :)
We did the same in Lanzarote and came across some great places.
Just wondered if there was anything that was worth a special visit.
As I said we no nothing about the island and wouldn't want to miss anything worth seeing.

ok, you have to go to cala d'hort and see es vedra - so while youre down that end i would go down to salinas (past the airport) and the salt flats and a couple of beaches (salinas & es cavellet - es cavellet is primarily a nudist beach btw) - then take the tiny coast road round to cala jondal, es cubells, cala d'hort, cala vadella, cala moli, stopping in san jose on the way back (if you fancy a bit of rally driving then go up to the top of sa talaya - the highest point on ibiza)

the north, theres cala mastella, cala boix, agua blanca, cala san vicente and another lovely drive through the countryside to san jose, then san miguel, benirras beach, san mateo and santa ines, back through san lorenzo and stop off in santa gertrudis for a bit of the norths cafe society

ive done those drives with plenty of friends who've come over

thats just what i was going to put on today..its great to be able to nip around those places.take a quick look,paddle.drink..then of the the next one..i have only got a few more beaches to do.and thats the lot on ibiza.
just beware that some of the roads leading to the playa s are only dirt tracks..so just take your time driving..

Thanks for that.
It's just the thing we are looking for.
We did the same in Majorca in March.
We found some great places and beaches and because it was March we were the only people on them. :)
Thanks again.
