It was £750 and her eyes are good although the wind (on a back of a bike) and the dust is not good for them. If she rests her eyes then they're amazing, if she goes out at the moment then they get worse...

Hmmm, I am surprised, thought it would be much cheaper, especially as Ultralase are advertising at just under £800!

mmmm yes  I have friends who have had this done and it is instant improvement in vision it does not get better as your eyes go through the healing process, I would be a bit careful if anybody is having this done abroad. If it was me I would rather pay the extra £50 quid and have it done in the UK, at least you have some comeback if anything goes wrong.

Hi Guys,

Ultralase say £399 per eye until you have your test done, then the cost shoots up, the basic treatment starts at £399. But good luck.

Hi saggy had laser eye surgery in Mumbia 3 years ago by a Dr Niteen in the region of Bandra think he is still on the internet. I emailed him first from the UK and arranged to attend his surgery on the Monday for an assessment. I needed at the time thick varifocal glasses, the surgery was ultra clean with equipment Moorfields would probably die for. He said he could do the work the next day, adjust one eye for distance the other for reading and within a short time the brain accepts the vision as one. At first it was a little like 2 dimensional out of focus. No pain however you do see some of the work being done and a tag worrying the laser gives off a foul smell (hope it was the laser). He needs to assess your eyes the next day and for a few days after, and again in a few months but I did not attend after 6 days as I was more than satisfied The cost was then 500 pounds for both eyes stayed in a 2/3 * hotel toured Mumbia by taxi and had taxis daily to the surgery 6 days later took a flight to Goa all expenses inc food and beer about 1000 pound for the 2 of us. No regrets No glasses occassionaly in the morning or if I'm tired reading small print may be difficult, generally OK. Never had any pain except for the first antiseptic drops after, sorry it did sting, a friend has since had similar work, she is well pleased. where has the National Health system gone wrong? It's a risk so is life. Best wishes and good luck, like to know how you get on:D

Hello Doc,
Thank you for your input, so good to hear that all went well for you.
As I shall be staying in Delhi and Goa all my reserch has been centered there, but I will certainly look at the Mumbai option.
I do not go until Feb and will certainly keep you updated.
