Not exactly a restaurant, but something new we found this year. They now do micro-lighting at Vagator beach which i enjoyed. It's only 5 minutes, but considering you are up and away in seconds, it's plenty!! Don't do it the night after a curry though!! :rofl :que

I'd definitely like to try Bomras this year. Unfortunately, it was closed last year when we tried to go. It sounds interesting and different.
Mr BBN, I'm sure Jackie and Dee will be glad to hear your suggestion for sending them up in a microlight.
Catch up with you soon.

Well I have a decent (long...) list of restaurants to try and a few new names to me, so will see what we can take in (2 weeks 'aint long enough).
Still don't know what to do about getting away for an odd night - north or south ? Like 'em both so will leave that till we are there. Yab Yums looks good but will they come down on price ?
Sick of the cold now, with possible snow on the way :yikes The sooner it gets to the 18th March the better :sun2

Hi Spike - The 18th isn't far off now!

A couple of things we did that we haven't done before - visit the Crown Hotel in Panjim. You can't miss it as it's the highest point -you'll see it as you cross on the ferry. Get the lift up to the top and the view is wonderful. There's a swimming pool and you can eat there, although the food was average and pricey. The view is worth it, though. The Panjim Inn is a great place to cool off with a beer.

The very posh Thali in the Bhojan Thali restaurant in Hotel Fidalgo in Panjim is also excellent - so long as you like Thalis.

If you fancy a change from the beach, try Presa di Goa at Nagoa. We love it there - very peaceful, lovely pool - you just have to spend 250 rps for lunch. There's the swanky new Resort Rio at Arpora, too - well worth a look. The food there was nice and not too pricey.

Other places we enjoyed were Nirvana on Holiday Road and Viva Goa for good, straight forward food at very sensible prices.

Hope you have a great time and look forward to hearing about it!

Cheers Roma - Been to the Panjim Inn quite a few times, and love it there, the Crown Hotel sounds like something good, so hoping to have a trek there.
