Hi,
Anyone know if there's a laundrette in Benidorm I could use?! Or a hotel that has one for guest use/ a laundry service?
We're staying at the Flamingo Oasis and someone told me when I booked that it had a laundrette for guest use, but it turns out it hasn't.
Now, I know it sounds sad to be asking about a laundrette for a fortnights holiday.....but, I'm hoping to cut down on the number of beach towels etc for packing, and can't be bothered with all that sloshing-them-around-in-the-bath malarky to wash them! I did think about just buying new ones over there, but when they're new they've got that weird coating that won't dry anything. yuk!
yes there is a launderette in calle londres just facing the indoor market
There are several Launderettes in Benidorm. You will be ok.
Thats great - thankyou!
there is one on the calle londres which is not too far from you
Hi Youngestalleninbenidorm - Trust a Bookie to know about taking someone to The Cleaners!!!
Is there one near Parasio 10 app

According to this Website, there is indeed a Laundry *Service* available at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel in Benidorm. Most Hotels in Benidorm offer some form of Laundry Service, but if you take a stroll around the streets and the look out for the sign: *lavanderÃÂÂÂa* (laundry in Spanish) then you should be ok. But anyway, take a look at this:
It clearly mentions a Laundry Service. Scroll down to *Hotel Facilities* on the menu on the left hand side and then scroll down further to *Hospitality*. It states there that there is a 'Laundry Service' and it also states that there is an 'Iron & Ironing Board Available'
I've no idea how up to date this website is, so it is of course possible that the Laundry Facilities may have been suspended now:?:

Just in case of any confusion with the above link, the direct link to the Hotel Flamingo Oasis website is:

David
Laundry services can be very expensive as they charge per item of clothing, and so it would be much more economical to use a local laundrette.
That is a good point David. I should have made it clear in my post that the Link I provided is not a direct link to the Official Website for the Flamingo Oasis Hotel. (readers should click on David's Link for the Official Site). But I have linked to it, for the benefit of the Original Poster to show that it states there is a Laundry *Service* available(not a Laundrette, which is of course somewhat different), which as David has pointed out can be a bit expensive.
I am staying at the Flamingo Oasis and e-mailed the hotel with various quetions regarding our holiday.
It does indeed have a laundry service but it incurs a small charge. You drop your washing off at reception and it is returned the next day, washed, clean and ironed.
Hope this helps.
Most places I've stayed in abroad offer this service.
Is there a Launderette in Benidorm. Going next year and with this hand luggage restriction am going to have to take a lot less things due to having to fit duty frees in the suitcase and not hand luggage.
If you look about 5 or 6 posts further back in this thread Yorkshire Rose Y.A.I.B. metions there is one on Calle Londres.

Stay in an apartment! All the ones I've stayed in have had washing machines. I really can't see the attraction of hotels. I have to stay in them on business but I would never choose to holiday in one, especially not in Benidorm. I don't want the food, I don't want the "entertainment" and I certainly don't want the shoebox sized accomodation!

I don't think that the majority of apartments in Benidorm have washing machines, especially if you book with a tour operator. You would need to check it out out before you booked.

You are probably right there Sue. I should have made it clear that when I say "apartment" I don't mean the ill-equipped little studios that the big operators pass off as apartments, I mean the proper one or two bedroomed apartments the independent agencies rent out. As these are often rented out for three month lets over the winter they have to have "all mod cons". The absolute minimum electrical equipment level seems to be washing machine, fridge-freezer, TV, iron and (usually) a kettle.
Am stopping in the Nereo so looks like there is one more or less on the doorstep. Always stop in hotels as we only have one child it works out cheaper than appartments. Have looked at diy for appartment and with flights was a lot dearer when you add the food on to the price. Next year when my son will be 12 it might work out cheaper than hotel.
There's a coin operated laundrette in the Ammbassador hotel. Not sure how near this is to your hotel, or if exclusively for client's in the ammbasadors use.

I'd never stay in an apartment. Not that I live in a flat myself, but that would be like a *Busman's Holiday* to me. It has to be a Hotel, and I only use the room to sleep in.
And I bring my dirty washing home with me.
