Seriously considering Le Vieux Port campsite for June 2006.
Any recommendations?
Looking at the websitethere is a choice of 4 different styles of accomodation: Chalet, Cottage, Mobile Home & Bungalow.
Has anybody stayed at teh campsite and can recommend which accomodation is better than others?
Looking at them, we could be swayed towards the Chalet due to the 8berth chalet with 1st floor as my sister has 6 kids and this would be perfect for her. We'd be looking at a 4berth one. Just wondering are all the chalets located near each other?
Surrounding area...camp site facilities...anything anybody could tell me before we make a decision.
Drive times to Biarritz airport?
We stayed there in June 2000, and drove down from some small campsites on the Vendee. Was a bit of a shock since the site was large and busy, but our kids liked it. We stayed in a Eurocamp tent with the pitches close together. Most accomodation looked to be quite close. Nice Beach is 10 mins walk direct from campsite. Can be windy and stormy. Nice beaches nearby. Small supermarket a few mins drive. Lively site even in June.
We have stayed many sites in France and right now prefer the smaller ones with larger pitches.
