My 15 year old daughter is really keen to learn arabic, not just holiday speak, and she asked me to post to see if anyone has any advice on how to do this. we live in a very rural area so access to evening classes is restricted.

You can also buy "Egyptian Arabic The Rough Guide" 4.99 from WH Smiths. I've found it invaluable since I relocated to Luxor. Also used the Linguaphone PDQ Arabic CD set. Found that helpful in the early stages. Cost was about 50 pounds though!!
