Just watching the series "house guest in the sun" which this week is coming from Cyprus and as the title says she is serving Lemon Meringue and I'm sure she said traditional ???? is this so ?

Yes, there are loads of lemons, so a lemon dessert may not be a surprise, but not meringue.
