hi just got back from les oranger.
it is a lovely hotel and very nice people. it was quite and we had a sea view room it was so nice to wake up to the sound of the sea.
there was not may children there so we made our own fun.football.tennis.swimming.
The nite show time was very funny and the children loved bingo and the little breaks inbetween the bingo when the caller said his little phrase.
At uk airport they did not tell us we had to fill in the visa forms. so when we got to Monisiar we had to quickly fill them in. So remember to fill yours in on the plane.

Think the following details are right for the hotel website and email address -
http://www.orangers.com.tn
khechine.abdelhamid@orangers.com.tn
Hope this is of use
Sorry just found this web site is in French although has quite a few pics.
were all the facilities open etc?
yes it was busy but it is big enough to cope we usually managed to find a sunbed, and at mealtimes we never had to wait for a seat. The beach is huge so never appeared to be crowded. Yes all facilities were open we took our children who are 4,8,11.13 and there was always something for them to do.
Sarah
Thank you so much for your info, i had a real good look at pics I hadn't seen in brochures etc and also sent an email.
We are taking our son he's 12 years old, have you any tips etc, also my only tipple is Vodka do you reckon I should take my own or can you get it there ?, lol I sound like a right alky
Thanks Sair
Suncream suncream suncream! and a sun hat. lol
Really not sure if they have vodka it's about the only drink I don't like! might be worth taking your own.
As said in other posts it is definately worth tipping all staff a very little means alot to the tunisians and it's worth it for the service.
What date are you going?
Sarah
The 1 st night I deccided to have whiskey and hubby a vodka..boy were they strong.. must be at least 3 time the uk amount...they knocked us out ..good...
they had beer which we seem to enjoy wine's which was great instead of a glass it was a bottle each..hahah.
we tipped all the time in the hotel. The waiters are very good & we found them ever so good and polite with us. It was Nov so maybe in the hi season it might not be as good sevice. We hope to return again nov 06. anymore in info you need I will be pleased to help..
We are going on the 19th how about you ? Thanks for the tip on the vodka lol.
I noticed you had 4 chidren how were they (occupied), were the rooms big enough etc.
What in your opinion was the food like and the beach, oh I want to know everything.
Did you do any trips?
Thanks
Angela
We are going on the 22nd we are taking our 12 year old boy and his friend, my 9 year old lad, 5 year old daughter and my step daughter who is 14. During the day time there are various sports going on for the children - volleyball, water polo, darts, football, bowls, and last year all the children made friends so they had a great time. In the evenings there is music and usually a show (quite basic but good fun lol)
Food can be a little repetitive but we are lucky because the children will all try different foods. Food was always very nice though and always hot. There are snacks and icecreams served at the poolside all day and late into the night. There is a snack bar on the beach and a restaraunt and bar that leads on to the beach. Yes as mentioned by others the rooms are fairly basic and quite small but this really didn't bother us as we were only in them to go to bed and get dressed in the morning!
We also went on several trips - pirate ship this was great fun and enjoyed by adults and children and we shall definately go again this year. Zulu night - another fantastic time had by all. Water park small compared to other countries the children had had enough after a couple of hours.
Zoo - we didn't really enjoy this but I think that this was partly due to being so hot and we just hadn't the energy to walk around.
I certainly can't wait to go again this year if you think of anything else let me know.
Sarah
Oh yeah - beach and sea very nice right on the door step! and lots of different water sports to try.
It sounds brill, our only drawback is, they changed our airport from Liverpool to Manchester and now we will be flying at 7.10 pm instead of 7 00am so we shall be arriving late i hope it's not too late but never mind.
Have you done the trip were you go on the camels and see the sunset, i have only heard of it never been.
Really looking forward to going there, must remember sun cream and hat lol.
Are the water sports free or do they have a charge ? our lad loves the water.
Thanks Sair for all the updates.
cheers
Angela
No we didn't do the camel rides. water sports are charged for but not a huge amount if I remember rightly.
Sarah
