As friends definitely Lindos - Pefkos is more geared up to families and couples. Great choice of bars/restaurants and though you can have a lively night in Lindos it's definitely not the 18-30s crowd. September is a great month to visit too, still hot but not uncomfortable so you can make the most of all the roof terrace restaurants and bars.

I'm not sure what will be available as central village accommodation soon gets booked up but have a look at Olympic Holidays. All of their accommodation is pretty basic but great locations in the village centre or by the beach - the Adam's studios is the only one i'd avoid, it's located at the very back of the village and involves lots of steps and a major hike every day!

You'll probably find more accommodation choice up on Krana, which is an area just above the village, favoured by the major tour ops. Building is restricted in Lindos so if you want a modern complex with a pool, etc this is the area to head for. The only places I've seen up there are Lindos Gardens, Lindos View and Blue Sky, all very nice especially Blue Sky. I've also heard good things said about Lambis, Krana and Lindos Horizon.

Marcus - you are absolutely right about Adams - I have some pics !!! (I understand Olympic have dropped them for next year!).

I spent some time this year at both Lindos View and also Athena - either of which I would recommend.
