Struggling with this one, looking for next June and don't know which one to go for. We don't want clubs, but like latish bars, would be nice to find traditional Greek restaurants (although I know they come fewer and far between now), like the history, the beach, we are ok walking up hills.
We've just come back from Olu Deniz in Turkey and loved it, been to Tsilivi in Zante and Albena in Bulgaria and loved those places. Found Majorca a bit British (but we had a nice time) and years ago I went to Kos and Crete and loved those but want somewhere different now.
Any tips or advice on which resort is best, or if they are both nice is it fairly easy to travel between the two?
Many thanks
we stayed in lindos which we loved and did go to pefkos a few times which was also nice but a bit more british , lindos is a great place and i cant wait to go back , a taxi to pefkos was 7 euros and was about 5 min away.

Are there any good trips to go on? Boat, land, historical etc?
Any other advice greatly appreciated.
st pauls bay in lindos is lush and the staff on the beach are nice.as for places to eat in lindos you are spoilt for choice.
It was our first time and def wont be our last
what hotels have you been looking at ?
I have been struggling to find any, I think Lindos Athena was one?
we stayed at the lindos view and i could not find a fault if i wanted to.
What was the cost like. We were just in Turkey and it was £2.10 a pint. Spirits about £3.
a coke and a beer was abound 6 euros and cocktails were about 5 euros , food was not to bad a main dish was about 9 euros but you can look about for cheaper . you dont get happy hours in lindos like you do in pefkos.
My friend owns the supermarket next door and everyone staying there seems very happy. He's also built a beautiful apartment block this year but not available through tour ops.
Hi marcuschap thanks for your tips on nice restaurants to eat , we had some great meals .
I'd go for Lindos. Pefkos is ok, but (in my opinion) it's very 'British'
Another vote for Lindos here. We stayed there last year at The Romanza Studios up on Krana hill and loved our stay. We went to Pefkos for the day and although we liked it we definately felt Lindos was the better resort with a much nicer setting and much more going on.

The place is lovely and just so relaxing. Beautiful views and restaurants, pubs to suit.
In terms of historical places, you have numerous places to take in, in Rhodes. Lindos has the Acropolis, St Paul's Chapel, there's numerous castle ruins spread out through the Island. There's also the Valley of the Butterflies. In Rhodes you have a wonder of the world (Old World) in The Colossus.
In terms of boat trips there are glass bottom boats and you can take trips to the likes of Symi and Turkey.
There's just more magic to Lindos as opposed to Pefkos for me.

I have just booked Lindos and Hotel Athena for 30th August so will let you know how I get on when I'm back.
