A Big event weekend in Liverpool. A French company have made a huge mechanical spider "La Machine" which was scaling a building near Lime Street station yesterday. It moved to the Echo Arena and will be on the move along the waterfront before disappearing into the tunnels. It's a hoot. :rofl

I saw this yesterday afternoon on the Concourse building. Despite it being mechanical I still think it is scary.

Do you know where it will be tomorrow morning Gail as we have visitors who want to go into town to see it.

Thanks Gail. That's very helpful. :tup They have already left for Albert Dock so I think they may well miss the spider's procession today.

Can anyone help we are going from liverpool to I/O/M on the ferry never been to liverpool before is it easy to access we are travelling from worc's..

Access to the IOM ferry is quite straightforward. They have recently renovated that area of the waterfront to accomodate major cruise liners as well as the usual ferries to IOM

If you are travelling from Worcester, I assume you will be travelling from the south end of the city - then follow signs for the Strand; the Liver Building is the last of the three major buildings on the waterfront from that direction and veer off to the left at the end of the Liver building and the ferry terminal is there.

It is to the side of the Crowne Plaza hotel

Anything else just ask

Thanx Becky67 no doubt there will be other questions..

Hello Becky67..On the bottom of our tickets it says improvements are being undertaken at liverpool port..
Is that the renovations you mentioned ?
Will your road instructions still be ok or will there be diversions put in place.?

Thanx..sleep_r_us.

sleep r us

Drove past there today and the roads were fine. The renovation at the Pier Head continues - if you get the chance have a look at the new canal they are building to connect the Albert Dock to the Leeds-Liverpool canal

There is a lot of building work in the capital of culture but you should be fine
