Hi
We were due to go there on the 10th of August - our travel agent told us that the gym would not be open and not sure about the mini market - we managed to swop appartments thank goodness - not happy though we booked this holiday in Jan and they knew about the building works then - so we should have been advised about it then
What travel agent did you book with. I agree with what you last said that you should have been informed of building work. We booked ours in February this year and was told nothing about building work until we got the dreaded letter in middle of June explaining about 26 new apts at back of hotel. They were bound to know in February when we booked, that building work was going on or about to be started. I hope you enjoy your holiday.

Well we have finally done it , with all the negative feedback from Airtours and lack of communication and nobody coming up with any positive response to whether or not the work is anywhere near any kind of completion, we have finally decided to go elsewhere after spending two hours at our travel agents (coop travel) on Saturday searching endlessly for an appartment that will accommodate a family of five, we are off to Algarve the Balaia Plaza on the 13th August with unfortunately yes you may have guessed First Choice.
I am very sorry but after much deliberation and it being our first holiday abroad, I could not stand the thought of looking at building works in or outside everyday, if anyone decides to take this to watchdog I will be fully behind you and would also provide any information required as this holiday has been a dreadful first time experience but which hopefully will have an happy ending.
The only sorry thing is I will not get to meet the nice people who have e-mailed me I think collectively we know more about at Lobos Bahia than the tour operators .
I will post an e-mail when we get back to let you know how we got on.
Again thanks to you all and hope you enjoy your holidays no matter what you decide to do.
Dave

we go on the 24th of august and still looking forward to it
just seen a couple of new photo,s on http://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com
looks like the main work being done on the reception area is nearly done now here,s hoping we all get/have a great holiday.
see you in 1 week and 6 days
Thanks for the photos. I have seen the new ones on sunny fuerteventura and it looks as if the reception is near enough finished. I think we will be safe enough now to leave the dust masks at home lol. 6 days to go and can't wait.
cjw
have you seen what i wrote about this topic on the other website http://www.fuerteventura.com ?
with all the cancellations i was wondering if we would be the only family still going too lobos.we got 12 days and 12 hrs before we go
dont forget to save a sunbed for me please.and if it is still dusty when you get there put a post on this website and i,ll bring some dust masks with me lol.
if we dont speak before you go have a great holiday
Just had a look at the trip advisor site, there is 2 recent reviews on there about lobos bahia, comments were very reassuring. We are flying out on Wednesday morning at 7.50am and should arrive at fuerteventura 12.20pm. I will then be able to see in broad daylight what the building work is really like. Is your flight a morning or night one. I will post a message if i think you need to bring the masks or even dust sheets lol, but i think you can probably leave them at home. I hope you & your family have a great holiday and will most likely see you there, it will not be hard to do when we seem to be the only families going.
Take care

hi. i'm going to the lobos bahia on 27th aug, just been told today bout the building work hope its not bad!!!
I'm going to Lobos Bahia tomorrow morning and like yourself was concerned re building works, not anymore. Have seen recent photos David e-mailed to me and the reception looks like its finished and have been informed by t/o that facilities at the lobos should be opened. Not too sure what stage building work is at back of the apts, but i'm not going to let that affect my holiday. I'm sure you will have a great time as corralejo is a lovely resort.
Have a great holiday

See you soon

having been watching this topic since march and seen all the photo,s i am confident that we should have a great holiday and the building works will not affect it in anyway.go with an open mind and if need be just use lobos as a base too sleep and change.have you downloaded the safe and sound brochure of this site ?
7 days too go
cjw see you there
its just me and my boyfriend going and we were plannin on just chilling in the resort. but if the work is bad then duno what we'll do
its meant to rain on sunday
5days to go for us
Just got back yesterday from corralejo. Stayed 2 weeks at lobos bahia and had a fantastic time. I did see the building work but there was hardly any noise at all and i will definitely be booking this hotel again. The reception is finished but not furnished and the supermarket and facilities were open. The staff are very nice and the apartments are spacious, especially the patio area. The pools were excellent and clean and there is even a jacuzzi in the main pool. The weather is fantastic, very hot and there is entertainment for adults and children throughout the day and entertainment on at night as well. We went s/c so didn't try the restaurant, but there are so many different eating places on the main strip to choose from. Our favourite was definitely Blue Jeans steak house, the food and the service was excellent. If anyone is heading to lobos bahia soon, don't let the building work put you off as i was weary off this too but as soon as i got there i realised it was not going to inconvenience me. You will have a fantastic time like we did.
the apartments are very good, spacious, clean and made for a very relaxing holiday.the staff are friendly and help too make your stay all the better.the building work is not a problem, infact one day we sat watching the cranes in the background as they became entangled.the operaters had too climb out along the arm of the crane to free it.i will write a full review in the proper place tomorrow.
we stayed in block n room 2299 its on the 1st floor and overlooked the main pools sigh
cjw did we see each other ????
we too are hoping too book lobos bahia again next year
