glad you had a great time in paphos.
we rebooked for lobos on monday for next august for 2 weeks this time though.we were all so depressed when we woke up on sunday it seemed like the only way to cheer ourselfs up lol.we asked for same room so fingers crossed

just to add i have posted a full report on both the apartments and the resort

just wondering if anyone as been to lobos bahia lately.if so can you tell me if the building work as started on the new commercial centre ?the site is on the corner of the main street and and the street leading to lobos.we left lobos on the 3rd sept and we saw a few blokes doing some measuring up in the big hole that as been dug.

all the works relating to lobos will be completed by next august.they had nearly finished when we left on the 3rd sept.we rebooked for next august the day after we returned.
the building works i mentioned in my last post are down the road from lobos and all being well shouldnt interfere with your holiday.
if you still want some old photo,s i will send later

hi david well just got back from lobos yesterday had a great time just bring you up to date with the building work , Where the commercial centre is beening build theres a great big hole!!! . The work dident interfere with our holiday, there still doing some work around the complex

just read on the other site i use that the building works at the front of lobos is now complete and that some of the new onsite shops are open.the commercial centre on the main road near lobos is still under construction.have asked for an update on that

as anybody been to lobos lately ?if so do you happen to know at what stage the building works are at.talking about the commercial centre on the corner of main st and the road leading up to lobos.thanks for replies

wife got a phone call from travel agent yesterday advising of some new building works in and around lobos bahia.as we had such a great time there last year we are still going to lobos

we have booked to go in august and have received a letter about the building works (commercial centre + apartments). when we booked we ordered a quiet room away from the pool area, so does anybody know how this will affect us on the building works, have we made our selves closer to it? futher away? please help!

would imagine you would be ok if you get the apartments you asked for.there are a few blocks away from the pools and they seemed very quiet when we had a walk around lobos last year.we stayed in n block which overlook the main pools and we didnt hear any noise at all.think it might be different this year as the commercial centre is just across the road from the reception.but we are still going as its a really great place to stay

Hope all is now well with the building works as we bottled it last year. No plans to visit this year but as you all seemed to enjoy your hols it will be considered in the near future

hi larry no new updates re building works at moment.lady off the other site i use is going to lobos in may.she will post a report then.and i,ll post any news i get

had a phone call from airtours tonight.
new school being built behind lobos bahia.awaiting letter from airtours to confirm this.have looked on their website and it is mentioned there.i,ll make a few more inquiries and post a report

update on new school
the new building is set back some 200 meters from the dual carriage way that runs by lobos.and from what i gather is not /nor shouldnt be a problem.we are sticking to our plans and going to lobos in august

wife an I are back at Lobos on April 26th (only a few more days)

This thread really helped convince us to stick with the Lobos last October. So glad we did.

It'll be interesting to see how things have progressed in the last few months as the reception was not quite finished.

Last Oct the building works were not a problem, in fact watching the cranes over the back doing their thing was quite theraputic whilst sitting with a cold beer by the pool.

I'll report back on how bad or not the current works are when I get back and will probably publish a few pics for all to see what to expect.

We're there from the 26th April 06 for 1 week so will probably report back on here around the 5th or 6th May.

For those who have never been, it's fantastic and well worth it.

A small restaurant down on the harbour is great with lovely staff, will tell the name once we go back and I have written it down.

Heck if I'm being particularly sad I may even post some pics from an internet cafe.

Anyway will check in when I have more to tell
