can anyone recomend one please?
i want a paleish pink for day time, one that will last for quite a while,
i want to pay under £10, but dont mind it being over if its excellent lipstick.
i have tried the avon one, but didnt find it too good.......
thanks

I had a Lancome lipstick/gloss which lasted literally years. I think it would be similar to what they now have called Lip Dimension, which is £12 at Strawberrynet. Their lipsticks are bound to be even more long lasting - I would go for something ultra lasting if you want pink as they will not be as darker colours stain the lips whereas lighter ones don't so much.
I'm not much help but I say go for a big name, like above, Clinique, Estee Lauder, YSL if you can.
i will have a look around and see what i can find.....as the ones i have tried havnt ever really stayed on.....
i dont want to take one out and about with me in turkey as it will just melt.....so need the long lasting one
I don't tend to wear light shades so it might be that generally pinky colours will not be as long lasting - if only from the point of view darker colours stain your lips and that's why they stay on.
The colour stays put for hours and it costs £9.99 (I think). It's easily available in all the usual places, boots, superdrug and supermarkets and it comes in a few colours.
cheers, i will check that out, i never thourght of the darker shades staying put longer.......i will see what i can find...
Another Max Factor wearer here - lasts me all day or night without a need for touch up. Can be drying on the lips for some people hence the gloss type coating.
Another vote for Max Factor Infinity - wouldn't use anything else. Ethel Austin were selling them off for £2.99 so bought loads. The darker colours do last longer but the pink one is a lovely shade and does last along time. Denny
and i have quite squishy (fat) mouth then i can just put some vaselne on if they dry out.......
thanks again....
So I might have been puffing and panting and red in the face but my lips looked gorgeous - how glam is that? LOL
I agree Maxfactor lipfinity is probably the best. As mentioned it can be a bit drying but as long as you apply the lipgloss/balm you get with it regulary you should have no probs. You can eat and drink and it still stays on! They have got a range of lighter colours and pinks so hopefully you will find one to suit...
Forgot to mention.... you need to use baby oil, vaseline or a decent makeup remover to remove it!!
Yes Jingles is right - I've woken up looking all forlorn but my lippy was still on
I have really dry lips no matter what time of year it is. I always carry a tin of vaseline with me. I found that the lipfinity dries them out even more.
well, i went to boots and ended up with there no7, in sugar mauve, long lasting lipstick, it still has the colour and the gloss seperate, but i had a £5 voucher for no7 products that i needed to use up..so i only pai £4.75
i am off in search of the max fax one on monday, and now thanks to jingles link, i know the colours available,
thanks for all your help.......
another vote for lipfinity ! after reading this thread and hankering after a long lasting lipstick, thought i'd get meesel' a lipfinity and it really does do what it says on the tin ! cracking ! this is gonna be great for my hols, so thanks girls for the reccomendation !
If you know the colour/number you want, you could save yourselves a few bob!
i found lipfinity in SAVERS shop today......£2.99
Thanks K&R
I've used lipfinity for years as well but have now changed to maybelline. Same principle as lipfinity, colour on first then the gloss stick. I find it less drying than lipfinity & it's on offer at the moment in Boots (free eyeliner as well) for £5.99 or £6.99 can't remember exactly. Some lovely colours, I always go for light brownish colours. I'm a sales rep & I'm out working all day & never have to reapply it.
