I thought the boat set out from the river Sal as well. Just before the boat first came into shot you could see a couple of local boats moored by a bar painted in Bello beer colours. This to me looked like one of the bars you pass by on Bettys boat trip up near the ferry crossing point.

Plenty of good street shots in Delhi and Agra. Anyone who has been to Delhi will reconise the location of the final scene at the Red fort with Esther walking off up Chandri Chowk.

You pass by Gurgaon (the setting for the climax of the play) which has been pretty much built up round the call centre industry on the road between Delhi and Jaipur.

There was also an aerial shot of Connaught Place, Delhi. I enjoyed the Indian scenes, like the guys making chai by the side of the road, the children, their beautiful faces. Bless India

What started out to be a 'watchable' prog for a change ended up to be the biggest load of tripe this year - that Esther looked like a cross between Vernon Kay and a young Donny Osmond.

The girl who played Esther is Trever Eve's Daughter, him of Waking the Dead fame.

Ah... Eddie Shoestring !! It still wouldn't 'wake the dead' though..

Not sure about Losing Gemma but about an hour into it they had lost the plot and I had lost interest.Had me hooked to see if I would see anything of Goa I recognised so ended up wasting 3 precious hours of my life watching quite possibly the most wooden acting, poorest script and most unlikely story of the year.To think to go all the way to India and waste an oppurtunity so badly.

The Far Pavillions it most definitely was not.

Drivel,drivel,drivel.
