Are you sure?, because I have been on the portland website, and they are still advertising them!

Portland are still advertising them for this year but if you search the site with a date for 2008 they do not appear as an option in the drop down list ?

I too, have been on Portland for 2008, and cannot find the louisa apartments in Sidari, we have been there last year and are going again this year on 31 August, 2007 for 11 nights.

maybe, they will be featured in the 2nd edition for 2008, this sometimes happens. hope so, they are in an ideal situation, very private.

I guess I will have to ask when I get there in July, I hope they are going to continue in 2008. I will let you know what they say when I get back.

Hi Bongo, I have recently looked at these apartments for this August, could you tell me when you say very private, would there be enough goin g on to keep teenagers happy (18 & 16)girls.Also are the rooms nice. I've read a few reviews and most were good. Maggie

Hi, the Louisa Apartments are an excellent choice, many people return year after year.

As for being private Bongo means that they are set back from the road. They are situated in Canal D'Amour with bars and resteraunts mainly populated by couples and families but a few minutes walk out of the village you come to the main part of Sidari.

This is home to the younger set with pubs bars and clubs everywhere. I am sure you daughters will love it !!!

Canal D'amour is a great option for better beaches and a more relaxed atmosphere during the day with the nightlife of Sidari only a few minutes away at night.

Don't know if applies in this particular case, but sometimes as the season goes on they add more properties. So an accommodation may not be in the first edition brochure but will be in the second or third edition.

For example at the moment Portland are not showing all the Red Sea hotels they did in April 07 for April 08.

I've noticed this in previous years when trying to book early.

Yes I agree, sometimes this does happen with Portland, like I said, on the 2nd edition, they might include Louisa apts.

We had the same thing happen this year, I have just returned from the Ereso in Es Cana Ibiza, this wasnt in the lst edition only the 2nd edition. It is not featured in the new 2008 listings for May but it is on Thomsons website but more expensive than portland.

Maggiemae - button is right when I said Louisa apts are private, I meant they are away from roadside, so lovely around poolside, nobody can see you from the road. They are in a lovely area, very quiet, away from loud Sidari at night, alright to visit, but I wouldnt like to stay in the centre of Sidari, too loud for me (must be getting old) like peace and quiet to sleep, ideal for your teenagers, plenty of bars, no nightclubs as such but plenty going on for them. Only about 10 minutes walk from Louisa.
