Hi all,
Its my birthday at the end of November and i fancy a few nights in a posh hotel somewhere. I was thinking somewhere like Stobo Castle, but i think i have my hopes a bit high there!!
We live in the centre of Scotland, so somewhere not too far, or if it is far then somewhere we can get a cheap flight/train to from either Edinburgh or Glasgow. Or we can drive if not too far (I think we'd drive to Manchester maximum)
I have always wanted to stay somewhere with a big four poster bed and jacuzzi bath or spa treatments available. Unfortunately we are not made of money (I wish!! 'Cos then i'd just have my own four poster bed and jacuzzi bath! ) but any recommendations are very welcome, as we do not have a clue at the moment! I'd love to get away from the hustle and bustle for a bit and relax.
Please feel free to merge this if there is anything to suit!
Thanks in advanced!

Hi, Glittergirl. Check out the Roman Camp in Callendar. It is very romantic!
I didnt know Callendar was near Drumnadrochit? Im terrible with geography but that sounds great - im going to look it up right now!
We've heard Inverness isnt too far away - if so, i think they are doing a big thing for St Andrews day on Sunday - anyone know if its worth going to?
Woohoo roll on friday!
GG x
don't forget your thermal undies
Do you know what? I dont even care if it is minus 40 when we are there - i am planning on having the phones switched off and listening to the peace and quiet!
Even if we dont make it to Inverness for St Andrews day - do you think the local pub in Drumnadrochit will have something on? Or does stuff like that only happen in cheesy tv programmes?
Off to Asda tonight to buy some jumpers
