It's too soon to tell if it's working yet, as I've only had it for 2 days - heres hoping
H Val - yes hubby has been wearing magnetic straps on his knees for the alleviation of athritic pain for around 6 months, after talking to someone else who used them. He now swears by them, and says that he can tell the difference within 2 days of non use. I've just started using a magnet in the pelvic area to alleviate menopausal symptoms. It's too soon to tell if it's working yet, as I've only had it for 2 days - heres hoping

don't you mean 2 weeks Helen
Sorry - I meant 12 days
perhaps they would be treated like pacemakers, or is it possible to take them off for your journey?might be easier than trying to explain to foreign airport staff
We can take them off easily to travel, but where do we pack them?. I'd rather leave them at home unless we can be guaranteed to be able to fly with them
How many sets of speakers have been on planes over the last 30 years? Every speaker contains a magnet, so it can't be a problem.
People often bring back fridge magnets from holidays don't they? I have never heard you can't take them on. How big are they?
I think you will be OK Helen, I have a friend at work who has been using a magnet on her back for years and she travels abroad with it a couple of times a year.
I would google to see exact clarification as the only statement on airsafe.com has this on it's list under 'Items completely banned',
Magnetic Materials: Strong magnets such as those in some loudspeakers and laboratory equipment.

So even after all these years you are still attracted to each other!
Any cargo that includes magnetised materiel has to be declared and a Notoc (notice to captain) produced so that the captain is aware he is carrying magnetised materiel in the planes hold.
So will we be ok to wear them to fly - I don@t want to be kerfuffling in my pelvic region at security I might be arrested Seriously - should we pack them in hold or cabin luggage. Hi de Hi - After 34 years, I do try my best not to get so close to him now

If you turn your magnet round it will repel his! Trust me, I'm a science teacher!
