Hi Marion,
There are loads of good restaurants in Gumbet, every kind of food you could want

Lots of bars too from really lively dancing bars, family type pus, and realxing chill out bars.
If you want to get about to see the sites there is plenty to see too. You could start by going into Bodrum, just 10 minutes away on the bus and there you can visit the castle, have a wander around the harbour, do some shopping and have a meal and a drink. From Bodrum you can also get a bu to anywhere on the Peninsula, there are lots of nice resorts and villages you can visit.
From Gumbet you will also find plenty of day trips; boat trip, fishing trip, jeep safari, village tour, water park, Turkish bath and longer days out to Ephesus, Pamukkale, Dalyan mud baths etc.
Anything else you want to know just ask, I lived in Gumbet for a few years so I know it really well.
