My OH and I are getting married on Sept 5th and want to go to Majorca for our honeymoon for about 10 - 12 days. We have tried Palma Nova and Alcudia but would like to go somewhere different this time. We are both in our early 50's and like to walk a lot in a busy resort. We enjoy Benidorm every year at least once. We can't afford too much (certainly nothing over 1500) and prefer self catering as we like to try lots of places to eat. Any suggestions would be very welcome as we want to book fairly soon.
Thanks in advance
To keep costs down I suggest you rent an apartment from a site such as owners direct or holiday lettings - http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk or http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk. This should help to keep the cost right down.
Have a lovely honeymoon!
Cala Bona/Cala Millor are lovely. No lager louts or hen/stag parties. Very relaxing and lots of places to eat/drink. Its very easy to walk from one resort to the other.
Puerto Pollensa is another lovely area of north majorca. Pine walk is great for a stroll, good market, lots of buses to different resorts.
Cala Bona and Cala Millor - both lovely resorts, Cala Bona is the quieter of the 2. No lager louts and plenty of bars and restaurants with views of the harbour - paradise!
Thanks for all your swift replies.........I am now going to spend hours looking and booking! The wedding is easier to sort than the honeymoon.
Thanks to Marymary! I have booked our flights with Jet2 and our accomodation through ownersdirect. We are staying at the Ferrera Park Apartments, near Cala D'Or in a ground floor apartment. It sounds lovely and now we can't wait. I have never booked DIY before but have found it to be quite easy......the hardest part is actually choosing a place to stay! There are so many lovely sounding places.
