I have a few questions.
Would the Maldives be okay in September? I hear this is the rainy season? Would I still be likely to get decent weather if we went in September?
Is it best to go HB, FB or AI?
Any hotel recommendations for honeymooners?
Is the transfer by seaplane/speedboat as bad as I am led to believe?!

Please if you are thinking of going to the Maldive do not worry about the weather, it can rain at any time of the year, we are going in a couple of weeks which is also the rainy season, but we are not at all concerned about rain, if you do get some it is usually short sharp downpours then the sun comes out and drys it all up, there are thunderstorms which can be amazing to watch from the bar
The maldives is hot all year round the temperature does not vary much at all, think average is 28 degrees.
As for AI/FB/HB that is a personal choice, we have booked AI purely because it what we prefer, not having to worry about paying for things is perfect.
I think, (from what I've read, haven't experienced it myself yet) that the seaplane transfer is one of the best parts of the holiday the view from the plane and the whole experinece is supposed to be fantastic, if a little bumpy and noisey

Yes we are flying direct with First Choice, Gatwick to Male, our flight leaves on a sunday night at 18.05 arrives Male at 08.45 on the monday
Have spoken to many people who have previously been to the maldives and they all say that a week is not really long enough, but again this is a personal choice depending on your own circumstances

yes, thinking now of 9 nights in maldives and 2 night stop over in duabi, cant do none stop flight coz of the back probs
