There are a few apartments around the Marina - ours was next door to the Marina Club complex and there was another complex near by.

We are going back in September but this time staying in a villa which is also about another 10mins away (spooky if it's the same villa )

Round the marina, if your lucky to get a full view is really nice. There is a selection of bars and restaurants nearby without you having to cross the bridge if you don't fancy going far. These came in handy on our first night as we didn't get to the apartment about 11.30pm. We were able to drop our cases and go into one of the bars over looking the Marina and have quite a few relaxing drinks

decided against the villa - going for Marina which is best Marina or pool view?
Also i heard the pool snack and drinks bar never opens is that right!!

We've just booked a apartment on Lagos Marina private rental - go on Saturday for 1 week. I'll post a report when we return but not sure if you will have already left.
I'm following your posts as i've never been to Lagos or the Algarve before so looking for any info. From what I've read Lagos seems really nice so hopefully we'll enjoy it. Hope you have a good holiday.

I can't help with pool snack bar etc as our building didn't have either a pool or eating facilities, but it was only a few minutes walk to a selection of restaurants.

Found the apartment on http://www.holiday-rental.co.uk website. Did find there was not much availablility left for the week we wanted as it was very last minute. Holiday-rentals site allows you to search by dates for availability. The apartment is on a complex with pool. I know the one we have booked is not available for your week as we have to depart by 10.00am due to new guests arriving. However there other apartments on this complex on the rental site.
Another rental agency with apartments on the marina is http://www.casasdobarlavento.com -sorry can't do links- they have a lot for rent on the Marina and had availablility for our week but were a little more expensive. You can't check availability on the website but have to email them. They did reply promptly.

Does it have to be an apartment?We use a small family-run hotel about 200 yards from the marina and they do B&B board at very reasonable rates.Just shout if you'd like more info.
