Hi

Just thought of another question, can anyone recommend where to eat on an evening that you can get to without having to get a taxi.

I know taxi are cheap, we usualy stay in Candolim but we fancied a change. We prefer to get to places on our own steam. We have walked from Candolim to Marihna Dourada in the daytime but obviously wouldn't want to walk this distance on eveining.

Is it safe to walk through concrete bridge on evening or would we be better walking other way to All Spice (think thats the name). Obviously there will be some evenings we will get in a taxi but don't want to do this all the time.

Also, can anyone recommend a bar nearby (see were not that mad)?

Thanks
AJ

Just a question about Marinha Dourada.....do you get lots of mozzies because it's near the lake ?

Hi Chriss Never had one single mossie bite and we have stayed the Marinha Dourada twice so far. On our second visit we had a room overlooking the lake.

Cheers Gemma, we've booked for a week. Got to say...we've hardly ever seen a mosquito in Goa but normally stay close to the breezy cost.

Hi everyone, not been to Marinha (or even Goa) for 2 years and was wondering which tour operators are advertising it for next season. The only one I can find is Travelpack who are quoting £889 for 21 nights next February. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Thomas Cook, Thomsons, Travel Pack and Jewel in the Crown for definite. Prices have gone up a lot. If you are looking for next February your best tour operator would be Thomas Cook as they are the cheapest. We have booked for 24 Feb 2008, maybe see you there :D

If I remember correctly thomas cook had 14/17 February available, but 1st and dates near that are fully booked. We cant get MD for November with Thomas Cook cos they are fully booked from beginning of Nov til beginning of Feb. Its cos they are the cheapest. I can get the date I want in November but its almost £400 more expensive (with Thomsons) :x
