We stayed in these apartments 3 years ago. Don't worry........ they are LOVELY!!!

The only thing we did find was the maids were a bit fussy. (We called them Kim and Aggie).
They weren't too pleased with people who didn't keep their room reasonably tidy.
But at least they were spotlessly clean and lovely.
We were told the apartments were due for a re-fit, so they may be modernised by the time you get there.
They were clean and basic when we were there 3 years ago.

Lassi is the best resort as far as travelling is concerned, so PLEASE DON'T book expensive transfers,
as it's just a 10 minute drive from the Islands only airport, and costs just 10euro's for a taxi from the airport to
Lassi. (We were charged £120 mini bus transfers for 4 of us the first time we visited, by our tour company. Don't fall for it)!!!!

The main capital of Kefalonia (Argostoli) is also within walking distance of Lassi, if you want a bit more
night life, or shopping. A taxi to Agostoli costs no more than 5 euro's, but we mainly used the little bus,
or walked.
Look out for the leather back turtles at the fishing boats in Argostoli. My Grand-children loved them.
And look out for dolphins from the lighthouse.

I would suggest hiring a car and visiting Sami, (Captain Corelli's mandalin), and also Myrtos beach,
but watch out for the hairpin bends if you do, very scary!!!!

Funnily enough, we're giving Kefalonia a miss this year and going to Turkey, but I must admit,
I prefer Kefalonia personally.

You will love Kefalonia, but I've never been in May, and can't remark on what will be open or not.
For cheap good eating out, (more often than not) we choose to eat at Veronica's, probably the cheapest and best
bar-restaurant.
Have fun in May. :)

We went in May, and it was really quiet, but that's why we go early. I would say that about 80% of businesses are open, but they were all so quiet at that time of the year that they are fighting for your custom. If you hire a car, you will be glad there is not too much tourist traffic as we found there were a lot of mini-landslides at the side of the roads that you need to keep an eye out for, but well worth it to see all this beautiful island has to offer.
