Markets in Kefalonia?

Has anyone been to a food market on the Island. we are staying in a self catering appartment so would like to buy some fresh locally grown produce. The only info i can find is scary stories of how pricey the supermarkets are!!

Depends where you are staying. There's a lovely fruit/veg market in Argostoli 
As Paragaluvva says there are some beautiful friut and Veg in Argostoli, but we did not find the supermarkets expensive where we stay in Lixouri, there is also a butchers in Argostoli that sell English Sausages and Bacon if required, KEfalonia can be an expensive Island at time but shop around.
