Can anyone recommend any of the little travel shops to book day trips through?
We're staying at the Toksoy studios so the nearer to them the better
the best advice is to go to harbour and book boat trips as booking direct with them you will pay less,
other trips can be booked close by aswell.
my favourite trip is a lazy days boat trip, on the mega diana.
if you walk along the front about 9.am look for the mega diana, you can also book this at donatella travel, across the road from the george and dragon pub.
iv.e been on this trip so many times i should have shares in the thing.
a really good day out, and brilliant value for money.

we know the trips we want to do but I just don't want to get ripped off by one of these little shops, we learnt our lesson last year in Alanya, so would much rather use one thats recommended by others.
the trip i was talking about is abot £11 adult and £5 for kids, for this you get picked up at your hotel, taken to the boat where you get ham and cheese toasties and coffee for breakfast, a good lunch, tea and biscuits in the afternoon, and as much alcohol as you want, all included.
you have several stops for swimming and a really good party atmosphere.
well worth it.
quad biking 35 ytl
pony trek 25 ytl
dalyan boat trip/mudbaths 25 ytl
jeep safari...30 ytl
these are direct prices and all will pick up at hotel,
We were hoping to do Rhodes, a boat trip (got that one sorted ), Dalyan/Mud baths, Cleopatra (sp??)Island, Turkish bath and the waterpark. From what I've been told the waterpark is close enough to walk up to so doesn't need booking through a shop.
Won't do any of the jeep safari type things, terrified of heights and the idea of been up in any mountains brings me out in a cold sweat I've already lost countless hours of sleep just worrying about the transfer into Marmaris
just returned from marmaris and we were asked for £25 each for rhodes and £10 visa. we didn't do it . we did do the daylan mud baths which i cant remember if it was 20 ytl or 30 ytl which included lunch. jeep safaris are good fun and i'm scared of heights and the only height i can remember was climbing the waterfall and taking pictures of the view of marmaris.
Rhodes is a bit more than I thought, might leave that one, would be an expensive day out with food + shopping on top.
There is (or was up until last October) a little travel agency on the next corner up from the Toksoy, we normally stay at these apartments and have used that travel agency to go on a trip to the Turkish bath a few years back. They have been there years and I have never heard of any complaints from anyone using them.
Hope this helps.

Last August I booked a private boat for the day from the Turtle Bar (Alex).
We got collected from our Hotel and taken to the Harbour.
The boat had a Captain & waitress. You pick the stop offs and dinner.
The Captain has fishing and snorkling equipment on board.
It is all inclusive for £17 each.
We drank the place dry.
I'll certainly be booking again in August.

Lazy day boat trip sounds great. I am off to Marmaris 15th August I do would like a boat trip which is quiet and not full of drunks and loud music. My children are 12 and 7, will they provde swim support for my 7 year old so that she can swim in the sea as well?
they normally give the kids life jackets so they can go in off the boat...all great fun for 23 ytl all inc
