My friend found this place on a website. There were some good reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. I wonder now whether the owners friends had written these! It is set on the outskirts of town in a run down area. Yes, it has a nice view of the Atlas but first you have to block out the view of the adjacent building sites. The apartment wasn't very clean at all. The bedding was soiled with what looked like semen stains. The shower and toilet were filthy, cracked dirty tiles, filthy curtain. The kitchen was reasonable but there was old food in the fridge. (The owner seemed to think he was doing us a favour leaving it there!) The man who met us at the airport was pleasant enough which made up for things a bit but he was impossible to get hold of when you needed him. The owner, who lives in England, was quite rude and short when we complained and was reluctant to give us any money off. We never slept a wink between the endless howling and barking of dogs (who chased you when you left the complex), screeching and reving of motorbikes and shouting of youths outside the gates, and loud music from the cafe next door. The pool was filthy too and full of locals. Not the exclusive peaceful 'new' apartment we were promised! Marrakech though was fantastic. If I went back I'd stay in town. There are some nice places here and it's no more smokey and noisey than this place....which is how the owner sells it! :(
