I`ve booked to go here for April on a family holiday. I`ve read lots of reviews some good, some mixed. What concerns me is the mention of young holiday makers spoiling things. We`re not stick in the muds and we`re once young ourselves but would hate to witness things that we don`t feel comfortable with.We understand that everyone wants to enjoy there holiday and Spainish hotels can be nosiy who every ocupies them.
Am I worring for nothing as when we go it is a quieter time or should I change my accomodation to a hotel ?
One of the resons I booked these was that I wanted self catering and we`ve had a look at them on a previous visit. I stayed at Fiesta Sahara a few years ago and that had the same mixed reviews and we had no problems. I need to decied soon as I need to pay balance soon.

I'll use this as a reply to both your query, and that of another member querying the Hotel Samos.
The Martinique is situated a few minutes walk from Magalluf "Centre" and this means that the Hotel is not troubled quite so much as other more central Hotels by passing revellers. However as with any Hotel in Magalluf or anywhere for that matter, you can be unfortunate enough to have noisy neighbours (of any age) although you are likely to get most bother from groups of teenagers.
Last year the Martinique got some particularly bad press because it accomodated a stag group (from Mansfield I seem to remember) of over 80 young men, and unlike most other Stag groups these lads seemed intent on causing trouble wherever they went in the resort, smashing up a couple of bars and even assaulting bar owners. We had several customers in our bar that week staying at the Martinique, who were tearing their hair out, in fact one of them actually booked into another Hotel because it was so bad - not only did they have the noise of a small army of drunks arriving home about 7am, but then one of the other residents took his own revenge by walking up and down the corridor about 9am banging a pan with a wooden spoon.
However as I say, that could have happened in any Hotel, and the overwhelming number of people I spoke to were very happy with the Martinique.
I was surprised at the comments of another poster with regards to the Hotel Samos (which is currently full of Spanish Pensioners) since we find this to be a predominantly family Hotel, with little or no trouble. However during the main season, you would do well to avoid the rooms facing onto the main road, since it is the route home for may people leaving BCM at 6am.
My own thought is that you should stay with your original choice of the Martinique.
Hope this helps a little.
Cheers
Adam
Cheers Adam for that, I have noticed that a few reviews for some hotels have compaints about noise of young ones. We were in Benidorm at xmas in a hotel that was mainly oaps and people were complaining there, I never heard a thing and no it wasn`t me, unless I sllep walk.I know you can`t please everyone all the time. If it gets very noisey I`ll have an extra brandy, that will help me sleep through it.
Sounds like a good idea!
you should be ok in april, i use them regularly in october and have never really had any problems and its the same sort of family mix you get in april/may. i found the staff friendly and helpful.
There's a nice pub across from the hotel called either "The pub" or "the place"
Enjoy your hol
Hi Christine. I'm going to the Martinique on April 4th on a hen weekend with 15 of my friends. But don't worry we are all well behaved- especially in front of children, as most of the girls I'm travelling with have children and we'd be mortified if anybody behaved in an unacceptable way in front of our children. Have a good time.

I got back from the Martinque this morning. I will post a review asap. I had a fabulous holiday. The Martinque was full of stag and hen parties all haveing a good time. There was also lots of families. We didn`t see any trouble, the only negative thing was the noise at night when they were returning from their nights out but what hotel isn`t noisey. at night.
i just got back from staying in the martinique this weekend... was nice enough, quite big apartments and yes full of stags and hens! oh and sorry i was probably one of the noisey ones early morning coming home!!
