If you go onto the SolMelia website http://www.solmelia.com there is information on the home page about the MAS card. My husband has one but we have not stayed in a Sol hotel since getting it so I can't advise you on any of the benefits.

Hi Joolz you'll find info here on the card. It's similar to a reward card when you purchase a holiday you get points then you can exchange them for things on offer from Sol Melia.

You have to book your holiday direct with Sol hotel to get any points added. It's no use if you go to their hotels through your travel agent. Worth noting, you can only keep rooms if they are available and that is highly unlikely in peak season. I've not had any benefit from mine to be honest, other than a free newspaper one time.

I used my Mas card for the first time in November. When you sign up you can opt to receive emails from MAS - I received one inviting me to stay in a Sol hotel in the month of my birthday (November) and receive extra points and a free bottle of cava. Having already booked via the Sol website I wasn't very hopeful of getting the gift.

I handed over the email on arrival and didn't really expect anything to happen but on my birthday I was very pleased to find two glasses, a well chilled bottle of cava, a Welcome back card and a pen and address book set .

The rate on the website is guaranteed unbeatable and in my opinion its well worth having! I'd never stayed at the Sol Magaluf Park before but look forward to going again and taking my Mas card

I have booked my holiday with an agent. Would I still be able to use the card to qualify for keeping room on if it were available? (going early May)

I have used mine in sol jamaica to keep room on in both june and october no problem. just let them know the day before you leave.i ve now got nearly enough mas points for 5 free nights as well!

I got a mas card last year and have stayed at sol hotels 3 times since and every time i have asked to keep my room on but have been refused with the excuse that they need the room i met a guy with 24,000 points and he had the same problems so i think the mas card is a waste of time

Joolz, staff at Guadalupe hotel in Magaluf told me you only earn points by booking direct with hotel, not through an agent.

I have a Mas card and they are only valid when staying in a hotel booked through Solmelia direct. I used to stay in Sol hotels regular and used to get a free night in now and again.

It is not a real beneift unless you area very frequent traveller
