basically are they are problem, because the little blighters just love me, came back from Marmaris in Turkey 2 weeks ago with loads of bites despite using a spray with deet in it and not wearing any perfume etc and the bites on my leg got infected when I got home so you can see why I am asking about them. As they have not been mentioned on this forum before I am assuming they are not a problem (heres hoping anyway).
Thanks
Polly
I've never had a problem and I'm susceptible to mozzie bites. I think it is too dry in the desert for them to survive.
I'm off to Greece tomorrow though for the first time and I hope I'm not going to be their feast!
In fact, when I look back I don't remember seeing any flying wildlife at all; apart from in the Stardust buffet, where the danish pastry section had some. Luckily that's not a problem anymore because the Stardust is dust.
Thank God for that.
It's been like 100 degrees around LA these last few days. Vegas will probably be hotter! Our air conditioning here at work isn't working very well today. Had to go home and change into shorts at lunch time!

It's interesting you saying that Luci because I assumed the same about Sharm before my first visit there in 2005. That too is surrounded by desert and temps when I was there in August were regularly above 42c so I was surprised to see the amount of mozzies we did!
It was the same when we there last month.
Perhaps the humidity is lower in LV??
Yes LV has very low humidity. Sorry that's what I meant to say.
That is what you said, very dry It was just me wondering why there are mozzies in Sharm when it's so hot there
Mozzies are present when there is heat and some sort of water source, such as swamps etc nearby.
Maybe such conditions exist in Sharm but not Vegas?
