Part 2

I arrived about 5.20 am after about 10 mins of knocking on his cabin the security guard woke up and let me in to my room. :)

Although i wasnt in an apartment a very nice touch from the manager was the tea and coffee bread and butter that had been left for me. I made a quick cuppa and some toast then after a quick wash fell asleep.

Got up after 5hrs kip and unpacked and headed out. Candolim has definatly had some changes in the 5 years since i was last there but I didnt mind i was back and it felt great. ;)

Walking down to the beach past sunset beach hotel and one of the sellers shouts Hi Marilyn welcome back :really I was amazed that after 5 years she still remembered me. Im sure it had nothing to do with the fact that last time i was there i bought half her stall :rofl

The first few days consisted of me chilling out at Ganesh's shack and working my way down the great places to eat. I also went to the HT meet and had a great night at Jaynes birthday and meeting everyone.

Ive lots more to tell including a four legged shoe stealer and some unfortunate nekkid dancing so keep on reading :cheers

Part three

Went on the ferryboat trip from panjim and OMG while i moan about the traffic in candolim panjim is a whole lot worse. Crossing the road to the boats was like trying to walk across the M1 :really The dancing was fun to watch and i was sat next to an indian family who were very nice although i was exhausted after all their questions :rofl There young son got up to dance and they thought it was great when i said he was like Shah rukh khan. Thats one of the only bollywood stars i really know ;)

I came back from the beach one afternoon and my usual routine was to have a quick siesta then get up and shower for my evening out. So i came out of the shower my ipod playing in the back ground and me dancing and singing as i brushed my hair in the wardrobe mirror. I was just in the middle of singing my heart out when i realised that my curtains didnt close fully and my wardrobe mirror actually reflected me in all my nekkid glory outside. I looked up to see one of the cleaning ladies and the gardener looking very bemused and laughing :yikes

I also had an incident on the beach when everyone was laughing and i looked around to see a cow walking off with my pink croc in its mouth. :rofl I managed to retrive it luckily and no damage was done.

I also went on a boat trip with some friends and really enjoyed the wildlife on the river, the kingfishers and eagles were amazing.

So after being a regular visitor to goa for over 10 years and having that break for the last few years would i go back? 100% yes. There are many changes and not all of them are for the best. However what dosnt change is the great food fantastic weather and enduring friendships.
Goa will always be in my heart

Great stuff.Got to be more where that came from.

Agree about the changes and to be honest not many of them for the best but you are right Goa is very special to a lot of us.

I really hope I can overcome the negative stuff I saw this season and get back there next year.

Love reading reports and yours really had me in stitches.

Places I ate at too many to mention these are the best and worst

Spice garden :tup
Great steaks and seafood huge tiger prawns and a really lovely family who run it. Their mums apple pie is wicked. It also has a nice bar to chill out in. located across from the magnum hotel and elephant shop

Horizon view grill- :tup
This was very close to where i was staying and the food was good. Had some really nice meals there decent prices and nice waiters. Located at the top of the road leading to whispering palms and sunset beach.

Floyds hut- Nice chicken sizzler, nan bread too greasy as smothered in garlic butter. Service friendly but pushy for seafood. if you go back they only seem interested in bigger parties that were spending a lot. located next to Spice gardens across from Magnum

A Revierie- Very nice surroundings somehow you dont feel like you are in Goa dont know if thats a good thing.
Excellent food slow service expensive for goa but nice for a special occasion. :cheers

Mango grove- Horrible meal watery chiucken xacuti :(

The carvery- Nice Tandoori chicken and also HT meets

Bending bamboo- nice cocktails and avarage meal

This is only my opinion others may agree or disagree :D
