Yes, I think this post has probably run its course now.

maybe worth one more comment in support of those who choose to eat Mc D,s (other burgers are available).
If all the visitors who sneer at burgers are honest re eating Turkish Food, why are there so many pasta, Chinese and Indian dishes available in tourist areas?
And as a defence of myself re the censored post earlier, I did NOT make any libellous (or otherwise derogatory) statement re Mc D's.
I merely commented on MY personal reasons for not eating burgers.
After considering what I did say and developing the thoughts in my own head, I guess that my reasons can be applied to all beef products in Turkey and not just processed meat.
Maybe I'm just paranoid about burgers!

Ok, one last comment from me. I honestly don't eat Chinese, Indian or pasta while I am on holiday in Turkey, just good old Turkish food for me ;) I do like all those kind of foods but I just don't really choose them.

I absolutely loath burgers though, the thought turns my stomach :yuck

Blooming heck I never knew this would cause so much hassle lol :) in the op it sounds like we ate out there every night but this isn't the case we only went there because it cures our hangovers and it was easy to find! We tried all sorts of different Turkish restraunts !!

Hi Rob,

I don't suppose you've tried the Turkish hangover cure, then? A nice big bowl of soup made with tripe and hooves. Tastes nothing like a Big Mac, but you could always put a pickle in it and a dollop of ketchup!

I wouldn't personally eat at Mcdonalds, but I suppose when you've got kids with you,
getting them to eat anything is sometimes a challenge.
McDonalds is always a winner with them, so why not!
