aha fab, i've just had a quick flick through, im gonna have a good read of it again, dont want to run the risk of sounding thick but what happens at these meets?

Well we each bring along a fresh fish and proceed to slap each other across the buttocks...hang on... thats another meet up I go to ! So at the HT meet-ups it's just a social chat and a few drinks, put forum names to faces and gossip about Goa and life in general. Enjoyed last years, and looking ahead for the next one in a few weeks - looks to be a lot going from the forum over Easter.
Get yourself along when there, and enjoy it !!
P.S If you want to bring a fish with you, it wont be a problem

I find tunas are much better than kingfish. they are easier to grip and being a flatter fish they give a really good slapping noise. The problem with kingfish are the little barbs near their tails, they can make your hands sore after 10 minutes.
Of course the other reason for preferring tuna is thaey are half the price.
