stayed at the mehtap last year, wasn,t too impressed with this hotel, rooms were basic and clean, although i didn't like the dirty carpeting on the floor.

staff were ok, breakfast was a nightmare, dirty cutlery and chipped cups.

the best thing going for this hotel was the location, straight out of the door on to the beach.

the bar next door was loud so if you get one of the rooms facing the bar don't even think of going to bed before 1 a.m., tried it once then decided it would be better to join them in the bar than lay awake, but not a problem as the bar was happy hour all evening.

I can not comment on the breakfasts as i have only stayed self catering, the rooms were basic, 2 beds shower room and tv, most if not all rooms have sea view, they have their own 2 restaurants and about 9pm the music and acts start but everything is quite by 1am if not before. To be honest i never had the problem with sleeping as it was always after 1 before i went to bed.
Good location right on the beach and next to all good bars and restaurants, bazar and harbour area is only a 10min or so walk away.

thanks for the replies.booked delphina beach for next year heard some horror stories about it.so going to change to mehtap the noise up to 1 am.is not a problem and the location is excellent right in the centre of hasslers paradise you want sunbed, you want food, where are you going, just one question and so on ....cheers

I am sure you will be fine nubber, just tell Ihsan (the hotel owner) you have been speaking to craig and he will make sure everything is ok.
I speak to ihsan most nights on msn, and have known him for 7 years.

going to change on monday long time to wait though 24 august 07 usually go to hotel oskar on main street so prefer to be in that area.thanks craig...cheers..nubber

well decided to change accomodation today from delphina beach hotel to mehtap hotel in marmaris cost £60 i think it is probably worth it for peace of mind as i have heard a few unfavourable reports about delphina beach...roll on next year thanks for the info Craig and marnie.....cheers ...nubber

I am debating if to go half term this october for the week, i just need flights and ihsan will pick me up at the airport and let me stay in the methap all for £150 cant be bad, mind you like i said i have known him for 7 years so bit like family in turkish terms
