Glad you had a nice time Thanks for the info looking forward to a nice restful 2 weeks.
I have booked to go to these villas next year and we are planning to hire a car. I would be very grateful for advise on this ie best way to do it? Nearest place to go?
You can pre book in england but take care as last time we did it they delivered the car to the same named accomodation but in another resort!
Any more questions feel free to ask
PS you will need your driving licence and passport
Going out to these villas in the morning. We are hoping to hire a car will let you know the outcome when we get back
I will leave it until I am out there to book as it sounds as if there are plenty of places to do this. Don't fancy trying to locate a missing rental car.
these villas are owned by the same company as the mirabel but I am not aware of a hotel there - there are apartments with pool, bar etc and you can use those facilities and that is where you have to go if there is a problem - anyone can use the bar you dont have to be staying in one of their villas or apartments - the bar serves food although there are other nice places to eat and they do have some form of entertainment in the evenings - there is a hotel across the road called Hotel Sagitario you can go there for their entertaiment as you can at the Vista Playa apartments a little further down the road (both same Company) again you dont have to be staying there to enjoy their entertainment or the meals at the Vista Playa - the food and service is good - for cheap and nice meals try Jennies in the main commercial centre and the Nautilus for fab sangria - the irish bar the Blarney Stone serves more "english beers" and does have irish music, dancing etc and the sunset from there is wonderful. There is a couple of Chinese restaurants but they are nothing to rave about - the one in the commercial centre (the great wall of china) the staff seem to stand and watch you eat - the other one (cant think what its called) but its by the Vista Playa is more friendly but we always found the food in both nothing special and quite expensive (by the way dont go there expecting your curry to be like at home) any more questions anyone has I will be happy to help as I go to Cala Blanca every other year and it is one of my fave places p.s. if you are a lager drinker try the local brew Estrella and for a pint served in iced glasses try the little bar just off the beach at Santandria "Sa Nacra" also their paella is good (alot of locals eat it there).
PS We went to the great wall of china because my son felt sorry for the chinese lady who never had anybody to serve-not too bad a meal and if you go for the set menu its only 7.50 euros each.
got back last friday had a great time not sure i d go again though and certainly not for 2 weeks
