The Civil Aviation Safety Authority have warned against carrying lithium batteries or devices using them in aircraft hold luggage because of the risk of causing fires.

But it should perhaps serve as a reminder that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in this country has advised for some time against carrying electronic devices in hold luggage which contain lithium or lithium ion cells or batteries, such as watches, cameras, phones, laptops, camcorders, etc:
