p.s. somebody on trip advisor today seemed to think that it might have closed down I'll update if I hear anything
I have not heard anything and hope this is not the cas as I am booked there for a week over New Year. Please let me know if you have heard anything Tightjock? I have just emailed them anyway to confirm my booking.
Hi Sandyshoes ~ please let us know if you have a response ~ cheers.
As an aside ~ Edwin's (Sao Domingos) new guest house now complete and open for this season.
MadAboutGoa you mention that Edwins new guest house is now open we stayed at Sao Domingo's last Dec for a couple of nights- do you know if there is a website for new guest house. Also information regarding the location of new guest house would be appreciated as well.
Thanks again
Jules
The new property's pictures are not yet on the website, although this is still classed as Sao Domingos.

Thew new guesthouse is to the left of the restaurant, beside where the kitchens used to be ~ hope that makes sense.
Hope this helps.

I have just received an email this morning from Mobor Beach Resort to say my booking for December is confirmed.
I can only find one short review of it.
A friend of ours who is going to Goa with us will be staying there.
We are staying at the Holiday Inn but she couldnt get in there as they didnt have a single room available. The only place available was the M.B.R. so she took a chance on booking it without knowing anything about it as it was the only place available with a single room.
She doesnt have a P.C. so obviously doesnt have access to forums.
we have stayed at the mobor beach resort and we also booked rooms for friends there because it was reasonably priced its a fairly new hotel owned by tony gaffino who also has a well established guest house in cavelossim it is really clean and the staff are very friendly tonys son brian runs the restaurant and organises entertainment which consists of quiz nights barbecues and bands , an english couple run a bar in the basement which is popular and air conditioned , there is a beach path behind the hotel and a beach shack owned by tony and run by his other son bradly and an english lady called rose the shack is 2 mins from the hotel along the beach path and has direct access to the beach the food in the shack is very good and rose insists on good standards of hygiene as does tony in the hotel all in all its good value for money
Merged with existing topic.
Thank you john woody. I am sure my friend will be happy when I show her your post.
Regards BOB

we're going there anyway, so i'm looking on the bright side. we have upgraded our accomadation to a suite, so maybe that will make our THREE week stay more bearable. lol.

THANKS Pat.
Has anybody been to the Mobor beach resort, Cavellosim recently. We stayed there a couple of years ago and really enjoyed ourselves, however have heard some mixed reviews recently. The mother in law goes there next Sunday so was just wondering what its like nowadays.
