Flew with monarch to Tenerife & should have flown back on the Thursday of the dreaded Volcanic Ash!
It was murder trying to get through to the call center 10p per minute hanging on for nearly an hour, only to be expected I supose but still frustrating. Well they rebooked us for the Monday19th which was of course cancelled, more ringing & firing off emails which were never responded to! I finally got through the next day & they transfered us to a flight for Friday30th April!
Now we were desperate especially when flights resumed on Thursday 22nd people were flying back on their booked flights & who had been delayed just a couple of days, we didn't seem to take any priority & we were marrooned on "cockroach" island for an extra week with no money left & unable to get through to the Monarch call center!
Well on Friday 23rd extra flights became available for us to book on line but I had to charge £926 to my credit card to escape on a flight at 00.10 Sat 24th, it said I would be able to claim this back but I rang them today & was told they would look into it & I would be refunded the "difference" what ever that means!
I suppose there is a moral in the story, people that payed a premium with Thomson were looked after, we chose a budget Airline & were left to cope on our own, they couldn't give us much information because they didn't know when Flyiing would start again, & I suppose to their credit Monarch did start extra repatriation flights as soon as they could.

No, flights to and from Palma do not have IFE. This has been the case on all Monarch flights for a while now. Generally, flights under 3 hours tend not to have IFE.

I have updated the above post to clarify IFE on Monarch flights. Films are shown only on Monarch long haul routes such as Sanford, the Maldives, Goa, Grenada, Cancun etc. Mid haul routes such as the Canaries, Egypt and Turkey show only a selection of those programmes listed.

Does anyone know which aircraft type is scheduled to operate MAN/HER on the Saturday MON3834/3835 services on June 12th and 19th?

I assume as this is a quiet day for HER it will be an A321? Hoping for A300 or 767 though!

Welcome onboard
MAN-HER-MAN (MON3834/5) are operated by an Airbus A321-200. The Tuesday flight (MON3514/5) from June to September is an A300B4-605R so you've just missed out! The Boeing 767-300/ER is no longer in Monarchs fleet. It was returned to Thomas Cook after lease in March.

MON5620 is operated again on the A300 from my information.
MON3506/7 looks to be operated on board a Airbus A321 aircraft.

The MON3506/7 is in fact operated on an A330. The other flights that z.j.c. mentioned are correct.
