Hi, just booked a d.i.y for next august to gran canaria, flying out with monarch airlines, back with thomas cook . Booked the accomodation with monarch hotel only and got a free child place ! never knew you could get a kid for free at hotel only, thought it was just with a package deal, proper chuffed !! so, me, hubby and 10 yr old got the hotel, 2 weeks all inclusive, going 8th august for £908.00 ! crackin' deal ! flights add up to £840, reet chuffed with all that.
just wanted to tell you all its worth a look. monarch hotel only came out cheaper than travel republic, alpha rooms, holiday nights and all the usual suspects
But have you got travel insurance that covers this arrangement? You need to consider what happens if either of the airlines email you sometime next spring with a schedule alteration or cancellation that wrecks the plan. At least neither is likely to go bust but this far out flight plans are probably just wish lists.
cheers for the heads up on this one
May be a better use of your time to work out a plan for what to do if either flight is retimed by an inconvenient amount.
Thanks for the advice steve, could be a case of fingers crossed !
