Get enough Euros to tide you over for the first day or two till you get vyour bearings. Take Sterling travellers cheques for the balance of your spending money not Euro cheques. Sterling cheques are usually changed at the cambios for no commission but euro cheques can have anything up to 4% commission. Double check the exchange rate before committing to change. Most people on here recommend Admiral Travel as the place to exchange you money.

Definately exchange your money at Admirals. We normally take £100 or so in euros to tide us over then exchange the rest while there. Have used Admirals for as long as I can remember. Always the best rate.

Change it whilst over there we always do, as it is a better exchange rate.
