Hiya Maggie
Temp is pretty consistent all year round, June is 25-33 deg but its the humidity that kills you.... :?

Thanks for that GoonerFan and Rob (I'll e-mail you - I don't have 182 days residency although will do by September 30th but do have a panchyat residency certificate and police registration/residency form).

I looked last year at the temps and its does seem to cool down to 27C but the humidity jumps from 53% now to anything from 85% to 100% (didn't know you could get 100%!) so is the sweatiness (or should I say perspiration) bad?

What is so annoying about the "Benidorm Brigade" :D I'm off to beni in July and was in Goa in March, so does that mean i'm one of them :? hope so.

I love the Monsoon, although you do end up getting tired of the damp shorts if you're only mode of transport is a motorbike! :? At the moment though we've had a couple of days of mostly dry weather, which has been a nice break. The weather (during the rain) is nice and relatively cool with a strange smell in the air.

Monsoon is OK so far, it's not rained during the day for a few days now, but it is so hot.
Everyone just carries on as normal, in a heavy downfall people just shelter until it passes. Things are very quiet, most of the restaurants are closed and unless you know a taxi driver it's very hard to get one in the smaller villages.

My goodness no taxis!!!! :yikes I simply cant imagine that Julie  Would love to visit during the monsoon season, cant really imagine that either, but would love to be there.
Need to wait til November to return unfortunately.

I have been in Goa since the end of May.

My girlfriends son goes to Mater Dei School in Saligao and is enjoying the monsoon as he goes by bus every morning from the Casa Sea Shell.

The monsoon rains are not to bad here in Goa unlike Mumbai an hour by plane. Mumbai has been flooded by the rains as they were last year late July. I have been waiting for some extreme weather behaviour as it is my first monsoon...like thunder, lightning and blustery winds but to no avail, just heavy rains. There are a few restaurants open scattered around. The beaches are empty and the waves are high. Sinquerim beach looks as though most of the sands have gone.

I have been into Mapusa and Panjim during heavy downpours and everyone seems unfazed by it all. Life carries on a living to be earned!

The humidity levels are quite intense, you certainly need A/C from April to the end of August. Power failures are quite common now.

All said and done I am still enjoying it!!!

As i will be doing my first monsoon season next year,it doesn't sound to bad.

I was caught in the rains in mumbai (or at least my plane(s) were), had a few hours delay due to a nice swimming pool on the runway! After landing and seeing a huge expance of water a few inches deep - a little worrying......
