Does anyone know of a company that has a different policy like return full or whatever? Or one that is more flexible e.g. you only pay for a half tank etc.

I know all the usual suspects for car hire etc, i'm hiring for a week but will only be doing low mileage and therefore want to avoid having to pay for a full tank of overpriced petrol when I will hardly be using any of it.

I used Crown-Auriga (different from Crown Car Rentals) some weeks ago. I rang in advance and they agreed to let me take the car with a full tank and return the car with a full tank. Not only that, they were friendly to deal with,

Maryhinge, you are only paying for the petrol that you use because if you hire the car with a full tank of petrol and leave it back with a full tank you will not have any surcharges. Therefore you only need to replace the petrol that you use.
