Nationwide Airways flight

I am thinking of booking a Nationwide Airways flight from Gatwick to Johannesburg. Its an 11 journey and I dont travel well anymore and so would like to know what the economy seating is like as I dont wish to travel in a small seat with no leg room. You know, knees under the chin, the sort of thing Thompsons offer on a 14 hour flight to Thailand would kill me. (And no I cant afford business class at £3000! )

Nationwide Airlines use a Boeing 767-3Y0/ER, ZS-PBI. They have 32" seat pitch in economy which isn't too bad. I've never flown with them and I don't know anyone who has. However, there are plenty of reviews on Airline Quality.com.

The Skytrax website has some rather disturbing posts about Nationwide. Do read them - but I would think this company would be best avoided.

Looks like the South African carrier has stopped all operations and ceased flying. Fuel costs and low passengers loads appear to be responsible. Another carrier with good ambition folds.
