Trinity.......have you tried Teletext holidays online ? http://www.teletextholidays.co.uk

You don't say which airports you want to fly from  But assuming London I found 100s of departures for 5th, 6th & 7th October to both Cyprus & Portugal from £154 for a weeks package holiday :o
BTW......the Friday is the 6th and Saturday 7th in October 06

Good luck

You could go to see a travel agent and tell them your flight dates and they could search around flights rather than destination. Could be you end up going somewhere else but, hey, you might love it!

saphire510 you seem to have done well better than us what site did you find the package holiday for £154 so far the cheapest one we have found is £251 and thats leaving from gatwick, we can leave from just about any airport. Our main problem is we want to either go to albufeira in the algarve or ayia napa in cyprus.

Trinity, I wanted to fly somewhere from Newcastle on the 1st of July. I also wanted decent flight times so I just popped into my local independant TA and asked them to do a search to see what was going where on that date.
Once I had an idea of where we wanted to go (in this case the Algarve) she looked for packages as well as flights and apartments booked separately to do a cost comparison.
I came home with a load of info, did a bit of searching on the 'net using the operators she'd mentioned and booked the Algarve myself online via style holidays.

I would suggest you do the same - the TA can save you a lot of legwork, especially if like me, you had a specific dep date but weren't too fussy on location.

IMHO : The Teletext holidays look good but when you phone up they've always "just gone". Hmm...

puddleduck2...you should have gone back to the TA..especially as they had done so much of the donkey work for you..I priced up on the Style website and the TA went and beat it.

Mazza.....gotta disagree the Teletext hols are updated frequently throughout the day and it's not Teletext who sell the hols so your actaully contacting different internet based companies via their website.

I and lots of friends have been on many a succseful bargain as per advert from the teletext website

It's all about not playing a waiting game.............see it, like the price.....book it ASAP

as it is always me who does the donkey work in finding a holiday for our mob, i like to spend ages looking around the internet. There are many independants and i just type in roughly what i want and they will come up with whatever they can get or a nearest alternative. We have had some bargains...but now we are restricted as Rob will only fly from Donny airport and that is mainy Thomson hols...( i think there is the odd Thomas Cook one to Turkey). I also watch some of the travel channels on Sky TV..they often have dirt cheap hols if you are not bothered where you fly from.
