hi, i have been to salou a few times everything is there that you will need the buses are good and have room for pushchairs, you can get to the theme park by bus and la pinda and cambilis, there bot worth a look at cambrilis the kids and adults will love looking at the expenise yachts , there are 2 crazy golfs in salou and a good one in la pinda, also big sunday market in la pinda, great for the kids to pick up a cheap toy, it will only take about 15 mins on the bus. also check out cap salou the little train stops there, or bus, we always stay there just outside busy salou there is a great small cove beach there ideal for kids and shops small fair and resturants,if you eat there, eat at the paddock, the theme park is great though i recommend you go in the week and not the weekend as the locals add the numbers up, it wont cost much either is you get a cab, though everyone gets the bus, the weather will be good for you but be warned when it rains, the heavens open, though usually this is in may, have a great time, we are off to turkey,in june can only visit a place so many times.

 hi the fair isn't on the seafront anymore and the supermarkets are in salou off the main strip. down by the 007 bar follow that road,we found them by accident and exploring. if i remember, the sanguli is across the rail line where fred's bar was(don't know if he's still there) and round the corner is a tabacs shop and a good chinese restuarant. heading along to cambrils there's a chippies. also cambrils market during the week. it's good. the buses are always quite busy and sometimes we didn't get on with the buggy and waited for the next one, which wasn't too long a wait.best to buy your tickets for portaventura online either from 365.com or attraction tickets.i'm sure there was a supermarket across the rail line opposite fred's bar, not too far from your digs. hope this helps and if you need any more info gives a shout :wave

Hi,

I beleive the fair that Cathykins is talking about is located in Cap Salou, but as Beermat says the one on Salou seafront was dismantled about 8 years ago.

Cap Salou is a 5-10 minute bus ride away.

:D the little fairground attractions in cap salou comprises of mini bungee , a couple of roundabouts and an arcade with about four slot machines.not a lot really.better going to portaventura.

Fair comment beermat but I think its more about atmosphere than how elaborate the machinery. The orginal posters children will be to young for most of Port Aventura's attraction meaning it would be an expensive day out without being able to take advantage of whats on offer. Of course there are shows and things and a few childrens rides but still an expensive day out.
