Hi there. I'm in a similar situation to Dixi and have just registered. I haven't been to Goa as much as Dixi though. Our first time was Dec '96 then late March '01, Candolim and Calangute respectively. Going to Calangute again on 8 March with MyTravel and can't wait. The forum really whets the appetite doesn't it? Had to register and be part of the fun.

This is my first time on here so be gentle with me, I am going to goa for the 1st time on 31st march with monarch, I must say i am dreading the fight. Dont no how i am going to cope with jet lag is there any tips for this? I am hoping to do a report when i come back too. I think they are realy useful and they make me giggle, So if there is any info you nice people can give me please feel free, I am going for 2wks and staying at the ronil beach hotel in bagga is there any one else going then too??? We are flying from manchester.

Hi Pip,

I'm sure you'll love Goa and I reckon it won't take long until you get bitten by the Goa bug and want to go back every year!
Never really suffered from jetlag to be honest, a good sleep either side of the journey usually sorts me out.
Have to say we sympathize with you, Monarch flights are awful mate but please don't let that put you off.
My O/H (goancrazy) and me will be in Goa (Arpora) from 9th-24th April for our honeymoon.

You must be realy excited about your forth coming wedding, We should be there when you get there if i get to meet you both i will gladly buy you a drink to celebrate, oops sorry correct that my partner will i am a bit like the queen carry no money, whilst on holiday anyway. We are a pair of young stupid 50yr olds so you mite want to hide Hope you have a fantastic honeymoon. My partner as just said he thinks he may get is wedding suite made there He must be thinking of getting married i shall have to find who too

welcome to the Goa forum I am the same as you- I never carry money about on holiday either!

Have to agree that Monarch are awful. I was due to start my new job the day after we got home and decided to book the premium seats on the way home so that I could get some rest and paid £180.00 to Cosmos. However, because of the 20 hour delay Monarch used a subsitute aircraft which did not have the premium seats so we were sat in cattle class
No one was at check in to advise us of this and we did not find out until we had boarded the aircraft. I have now wrote to Cosmos asking for a full refund.
Luckily my new employers were OK about me turning up a day late
