By the way we did a new walk this year to the 'castle' on the hill that goes off from the road to the Cross.The views from there are stunning. Do you know any info on this?

I'd have to see some photo's as I'm not sure which of the two "monuments" that are in the Sierra Helada mountain range that you are talking about.

Both are "Torres" built in the 17th centrury as watch towers for the Berber pirate attacks that took place during this century.
I think you might be talking about the "Torre de la punta de Cavall" or you could be talking about the "Torre Escalates", both are now classed as cultural monuments and the road to "Punta de la Cavall" which is sometimes called "Punta de la Seguro" was having something like 130,000 people visiting it ( based on 2007 figures) so to preserve the route which is now part of the Sierra Helada natural preservation area , I believe cars are now restricted on this road as from last year.

Basically, they are disputing the exact location between themselves and they are also saying (like you) that there doesn't appear to have been much progress made, then saying "pronto veremos avanzar más rápido" in other words " quickly or soon we will see it advance very rapidly" once they've sunk the foundations which are massive.....I could have told them that
One poster says he likes the design and it reminds him of Dubai and that Benidorm for a small city, it has a lot of projects going on.

You have to remember there are some right plonkers on that site who haven't a clue about Benidorm (as a city) they are only interested in the construction of skyscrapers worldwide.
