My wife consulted Ros after a problem we had with Panorama and building works - we had to move rooms to a smaller room as they were building outside the room, rep was useless, company hadn't told us about the work. Ros takes a % of what you win.
we had a first offer from Panorama - similar to yours. My wife wrote back AND returned the cheque and rejected it stating she knew that accom and flights are deemed about a 50/50 split on a package holiday and that she wanted reimbursement for the downgraded accomadation as well as compensation for lack of enjoyment and distress caused, noting in the letter that she had received legal advice from Ros. They wrote back with a decent cheque and we settled on that. Ros may have got us more but we felt we got a reasonable deal. Had they not been reasonable we would have used her services.
NB do not bank the low cheque if you are aimingfor more compensation/refund. As soon as you cash the cheque you are deemed to have settled.
