also check out big bens bar which is just down the road from Gringo's as the owners always used to give us loads of free drinks... cant complain about that!

I can't tell you how pleased i m about the apartments not being a hole. And the air conditioning sounds like fun- the last place i stayed in malia we couldn't spend more than 5 mins in the room or we'd start giving off smoke it was so hot.

That security guard sounds promising, although i must say i was a tad dissapointed about the not bringing people back thing- but i suppose home or away, it's all good.

Swimming pool- great.

24 hour bar- great.

Food- great.

Great- great.

How long is the walk to the beach?

Did you go to 'Pleasure Beach' beach bar at all?

Ive heard the walk to the beach is like 20 - 30 mins! i dont no for sure though! i think a taxi will be needed, cant walk 30 mins in red hot heat, especially with a hangover! not good

A load of Lads are going to the Newcastle Studios on the 9th of August, 8 of us to start with joined by 5 other lads on the 16th, and am wanting some willing interested girlies to email some information on this damn place.......theres a sick rumour flying around on here that there is some freak that stops you bringing people back eh? any information on this dude will be helpful as i think he might have to have a word in his ear......looking forward to seeing some of you out there......

when i went over there two years ago the reps told us about the fact you were not allowed "guests" to stay at the hotel, any any such guests would mean that you were charged in the region of 50euro's. Our hotel (Frixos) had a security guard on the door and i saw quite a few others that did too. Some girls brought lads back one night and we were sat round the pool as the owners were telling the girls what they owed. They resused to pay so they got kicked out and there was nothing the reps could do because rules are rules!!

morale of the story mate...... go back to hers!!

I have just got back from staying at the Newcastle apartments, don't believe any of the awful reviews. We had an awesome time, apartments were really clean, pool and bar area are nice with nice food, 15 min walk from bars/club and would definetely recommend. If you have read any of the reviews about Dave the security guy ignore as he is no longer there. George the owner is pretty cool, but if you over step the mark then be warned he will let you know. But as long as you don't take the mick and trash the place you'll be fine.
